Abstract:This paper gives a general survey of the history of five-player soccer with an introduction of its origin,development and major characteristics.By revealing the positive influence of this activity on the development of the students＇ physical potential and its due contribution to the construction of physical culture in universities,the paper explores the tentative significance of promoting this activity in universities and concludes that with the actualization of the promotional results that five-player soccer would have,and this game is sure to open great range of development in the process of promoting quality-education in universities.
