Abstract:The situation and prospect of container ships' transport are analyzed. Based on the analysis of available ship form data, a mathematical model of Container Ships' hull form factors is obtained by using the method of statistical regression. Application to actual ships shows that the model is reliable and suitable for use. This model is helpful for catching the change trend of Container Ships' principal dimensions, guiding the economic analysis. The optimized result of the ship dimensions can be used in quote design and compact design of container ships.
