Abstract:This brief investigates the stability problem of interconnected networked control systems in which there are many local networks, and each network is independent of the others. Several transmission imperfections, including variable transmission intervals, variable transmission delays, and communication constraints, are permitted by each local network. A gain assignment criterion is proposed to assign the gain closely related to the maximum allowable transmission interval (MATI) and maximum allowable delay (MAD) of each local network. Moreover, the tradeoffs between the MATI and MAD of each local network can be computed by solving a series of differential equations with the acquired gains. Finally, a commonly used example is given to show the improvement of the obtained results over the existing literature.
