Abstract:A radial microfluidic array is proposed to analyze intracellular calcium dynamics in response to dynamic extra-cellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP) stimulation at single cell level. The microfluidic array consists of multiple single cell trapping units in radial distribution with same angle, each unit is designed by a combination of stagnation point flow and physical barrier. Cellular experimental results verified that the effectiveness of the single cell trapping and intracellular calcium dynamic behaviors in response to static or dynamic extra-cellular ATP stimulation.
