Abstract:In this paper, we prove the global existence of solutions to the initial boundary value problem of a viscous p-Laplace equation with nonlinear sources. The asymptotic behavior of solutions as the viscous coefficient k tends to zero is also investigated. In particular, we discuss the H-1-Galerkin finite element method for our problem and establish the error estimates for two semi-discrete approximate schemes. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd.
