Padé approximation of sinc function and its application in numerical analysis

Abstract: We propose a novel convergence factor for the Shannon sampling theorem by using a Pad   approximant of the sinc function. The convergence factor has two advantages. First, it agrees with the sinc function at zero to some order. Second, it has a faster rate of decay at infinity than the sinc function. We also provide several numerical examples to illustrate the effectiveness of this convergence factor. ? 2015 by Binary Information Press
