Abstract:Developments in microporous zeolites-base catalysts have evidenced the necessity of acidity tailoring in order to meet the exact requirements of specific reactions, which can be achieved by the post-modifications by various promoters. Compared to the elaborate works on the microporous counterparts, few studies have been reported for the post-modification of desilicated zeolites. In this work, the desilicated MFI zeolites with hierarchical porosities were subjected to the secondary post-modification by phosphorous promoter. It is demonstrated that both hierarchical structure and surface silanols are closely associated with the alterations of acidity and structure of phosphorous-containing moieties. Their catalytic consequences on the dehydration of glycerol to acrolein were also studied.
