Abstract: In this paper, we present a depth extraction method using epipolar-plane images in integral imaging system. To achieve a dense depth estimation, a set of elemental images are transformed to epipolar-plane image representation. The reliable depths of the object edge are computed by using local depth estimation. Then, a global energy function is used to propagate the edge into the smooth regions. The experimental results can confirm the feasibility of the proposed method. ? OSA 2017.
