Abstract:A thermo-mechanical coupled finite element model for post-weld local heat treatment of hydrogenation reactor was developed by means of FE software MSC. Marc. Creep strain was considered by the subroutine and the heat treatment process was simulated. The temperature field, strain field and distortion field around the weld of hydrogenation reactor during different times were obtained. An optimized heat treatment process which can decrease the distortion of hydrogenation reactor after heat treatment was put forward. Using the optimized heat treatment process, the distortion can be controlled from -2. 31 mm to -1. 86 mm.
