Abstract: Compressible graphene aerogel (CGA) supported CoO nanostructures were synthesized via a hydrothermal strategy. Benefitting from good mechanical stability, they can be directly used as binder-free electrodes in lithium-ion batteries, which exhibit superior electrochemical performance to conventional electrodes made of powders and binders.
