摘要:It is particularly beneficial to develop a kind of high-performance gas sensing material to detect ethanol, an extensive-used but dangerous organic compound. Porous olive-shaped ZnFe2O4 (ZFO) nanoparticles were successfully synthesized via morphology-inherited annealing treatment of Zn/Fe bimetallic MOP using fumaric acid as organic ligand. The precursors were annealed in 450 degrees C, 500 degrees C and 550 degrees C to disclose the calcination temperature dependent composition, microstructures and the corresponding sensing behaviors. The ZFO-450 nanoparticles not only maintained intact olive shape, but also possessed the largest BET specific surface area of similar to 96.5 m(2)g(-1) . Meanwhile, the sensor based on porous ZFO-450 particles exhibited the highest response value of 5 to 5 ppm ethanol at 120 degrees C. Moreover, the olive-shaped ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles showed excellent stability and selectivity to ethanol with quite short response time (similar to 10 s). It is expected that the as-prepared ZnFe2O4 might be a promising candidate material for actual application as ethanol sensor.
