Abstract:Based on the fatigue test platform of the excessive pressure relief devices,the rupture and fatigue performance of the bursting disc and fusible plug were studied using the excessive pressure relief devices of CNG gas cylinder from different manufacturers.The results show that the structure of the fusible plug determines whether the device normally vents.In addition,the operating ratio of rupture disc and the chamfer of junk ring have important influence on the fatigue performance of the device.According to the experimental analysis,the structural designs of the excessive pressure relief devices exist great potential safety hazard,which are determined by national and international standards.The pressure relief device should be further improved for the safe operation.
