Abstract:A new event-based control design method for the first-order unstable processes with time delay is presented. The controller is based on a new event trigger mechanism which combines the Send on Delta (SOD) event-trigger mechanism with the fixed period sampling control. The control design procedure includes the IMC-based continuous time controller design, the incorporation of the event-trigger mechanism and the associated parameter tuning method with stability guarantee. The simulation results verify the feasibility of new method, and illustrate the advantages over the SOD method and fixed period sampled-data control.
