Abstract:In this paper, we analyze six protein interaction networks widely used for protein complex detection, and compare the performance of six classic computational methods on them in order to find the relations between network characteristics and the performances of these complex detection methods. Furthermore, we explore the difference among the two complexes detected by different methods and the real complex by using a visualization approach which can easily find the difference of two methods and locate the undetected proteins.
