Abstract:It is of significance to reduce traffic accidents and improve traveling safety by using advanced technology. Traffic safety will be greatly improved if a vehicle can sense other ones around it while running. The wireless sensor nodes installed on vehicles can automatically sense the state information of the vehicles which are around and out of the driver's sight. Besides, the sensors can give alarm in advance and help the driver avoid crashing by cooperative driving when vehicles swerve and overtake other ones. The result of the experiment shows that this approach can give alarm when vehicles encounter danger, which improves traveling safety effectively.
