Handover scheme based on IEEE 802.11p in VANET

摘要:Due to the traffic load of RSU is limited, it will cause handover congestion when the number of vehicles execute the handover operation is large at the same time based on IEEE 802.11p in VANET. In order to realize the seamless handover between RSUs of vehicles, the handover congestion probability of vehicle need to be reduced. ST-BEB scheme was presented. First, factors were considered, such as the current number of the handover of vehicles, the received signal strength of vehicles and packet emergency degree, when executing the handover of vehicles was analyzed. Second, Stackelberg game was used to determine the handover of vehicles, binary exponential back off algorithm was used to disperse vehicles handover time as far as possible and to reduce the congestion probability when vehicles have an unsuccessful attempt for handover. Simulation results indicated that ST-BEB scheme could not only effectively reduce congestion probability, but also reduce the average handover delay. In addition, the proposed scheme could also improve the handover quality, improve network delivery rate and improve the user experience degree. ?, 2014, Northeastern University. All right reserved.
