Moisture transport simulation of Evapo-transpiration covers with different initial conditions

摘要:Based on the mechanism of unsaturated seepage flow, a one-dimensional unsteady state governing equation was developed to simulate moisture transport in ET covers. Precipitation and evapo-transpiration data of Dalian in 1976 were used as the boundary conditions, which has the strongest precipitation in flood season in 48 years. Different initial conditions were considered. The results show that the proposed ET cover can store rainfall during strong precipitation and release pore water of soil in clear day effectively. After 24 days precipitation and evapo-transpiration, water contents in ET covers rise with higher initial water contents. The initial water content of sand and silty clay should not be higher than 0.25 in this paper, otherwise ET covers will be broken through. ET covers perform better with bigger ratio of initial permeability coefficient between sand and silty clay. It is effective to improve the performance of ET cover with high initial porosity silty clay and sand, and the initial porosity of sand should be lower than that of silty clay.
