Abstract:The water-gel explosive with low density 0.4 g/cm3 is made of aluminum nitrate, carbamide, RDX and plastic foam. The nanometer aluminum oxide is prepared by detonation of it. The results of transmission electron microscope morphology analysis and x-ray diffraction analysis indicate that all granules of nanometer aluminum oxide are spherical and homogeneous, the average dimension of granules is about 22.66nm, and the aluminum oxide is phase. According to experimental phenomenon, the imperfect detonation is generated. The phenomenon is explained by coherent theories of thermodynamics and explosion mechanics. The research provides favorable guide for the more works on nanometer aluminum oxide prepared by detonation.
