Abstract:A new preparation technology of dispersion strengthened coating on copper base was proposed. Mixing Al2O3-Cu powder gained by mechanical alloying method was spread on the surface of copper base. The dispersion strengthened coating was joined with copper base together by powder sintering and underwater explosive compaction method. Microstructure shows that nano-Al2O3 particles dispersively distribute in copper matrix and the dispersion strengthened coating joined with the copper base tightly. Through the SEM image of the fracture, it is concluded that coating has pronounced cracking along the grain boundaries and a distribution of dimples adjacent to the grain boundary.
