Abstract:A new preparation technology of high-quality and low-price nano-alumina dispersion strengthening copper was proposed. Firstly, mechanical alloying method was used to prepare alumina and copper mixed powder. Secondly, Al(2)O(3)-Cu porous body was obtained after sintering in hydrogen atmosphere. Finally, Al(2)O(3)-Cu bulk billet was obtained by explosive compaction. The detection results indicate the relative density of Al(2)O(3)-Cu bulk billet exceeds 98%, and nano-alumina particles dispersively distribute in copper matrix which greatly improves materials' hardness and strength.
