Abstract: In this paper, the problem of exponential stability for a class of switched positive linear systems with time delay is investigated in discrete-time case. By using a newly constructed copositive Lyapunov functional, sufficient conditions for exponential stability are developed under average dwell time switching. These conditions are delay-dependent and are given in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). An illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.
