摘要:Topology optimization of continuum structures subjected to hydrodynamic surface pressure loading was studied. The problem is an extension of the traditional topology optimization. The pressure loading not only varies harmonically with time, but also depends on the design itself, i.e. the direction, location and magnitude of the loads may change with the topology and shape of the structures changes. The design objective was to minimize the dynamic compliance of the structures with the constraint on the total structural volume. A simple and new element-based boundary search scheme was proposed to identify the loading surfaces during optimization and the RAMP (rational approximation of material properties) model was used to eliminate the localized modes in low density areas. Several numerical examples validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the combination of the proposed boundary search scheme and the RAMP model in solving this type of optimization problems.
