Abstract:A new prototype of magnetic force actuator (MFA) is referred to in this paper, which is used to modify the traditional 40.5kV SF6 breaker operated with springs. The MFA can be controlled with different speeds and has small dispersion when it works. System mode of the actuator is established in this paper. State equations describing the dynamic characteristics of the MFA is solved by the way that combining the four-order Runge-kutta and finite element methods together. According to the solving results, the design of prototype can be guided. The given curve can also be followed well. The self-adaption controlling technique with FUZZY arithmetic is adopted to control the actuator in a closed loop system. In the process the 40.5kV SF6 breaker works well. From above, the control of the new magnetic force actuator (MFA) SF6 breaker based on 40.5kV can be guided by the work in this paper. ? 2011 IEEE.
