Abstract:Based on the symplectic eigen-solutions and a special solution of the sectorial wedge dissimilar materials, an analytical singular element with arbitrary order accuracy was presented, which can be applied to analyzing bimaterial mode I interface crack under Dugdale-Barenblatt (D-B) model with bridging tractions. Combined with conventional FEM, the singular element can be used to obtain length of plastic zone and crack tip opening displacement (CTOD) in the D-B model. Numerical results show that the method possesses high accuracy with less calculation.
