Abstract: Some deviations exist between the continuous Hilbert transform and its discrete version,which makes students confused. This paper analysis the relation among signal maximum frequency,sample frequency,desired signal to noise ratio and the number of terms in discrete Hilbert transform theoretically. Besides,some properties of discrete Hilbert transform and the criterion for determining the number of terms are given. The numerical simula-tions indicate the correctness of relevant conclusions.
