Abstract: The silver-catalyzed protodeboronation of arylboronic acids and esters in the presence of a base was developed. This method was highly efficient for the protodeboronation of various arylboronic acids and was applied to an efficient deprotection of bifunctional amine under mild conditions. A base-promoted mechanism was proposed.
