Abstract: A fast protocol has been developed for the construction of 2-aryl-substituted pyridine derivatives by the oxygen-promoted, ligand-free, Pd(OAc)(2)-catalyzed Suzuki reaction of 2-halogenated pyridines in aqueous isopropanol.
