Abstract:The diffusion coefficient of gas in oil-saturated porous media is a critical parameter in petroleum industry. Unfortunately, there are still not a standard method to measure the diffusion coefficient of gas in oil-saturated porous media. One difficulty is how to determine the tortuosity, which is essential for the calculation of diffusion. The main object of this work was to obtain the diffusion coefficient of gas in oil-saturated porous media by Dual-chamber Pressure-decay and CT technique. At last the relationship of pressure, tortuosity and diffusivity at T = 23.5 degrees C was discussed.
