Abstract:Due to the involvement of a large amount of machineries in the construction of roller compacted concrete dams , the construction is greatly affected by the deployment and configuration of the machineries .It is a common practice to as-sume all the machineries are configured well according to the intensity of the construction .Based on this situation ,the construction process of a roller compacted concrete dam was analyzed and simulated with the help of GPSS World .Based on the simulation of a specific placement section ,its optimal machinery configuration was obtained .The results indicate that the simulation model is practical and the results obtained from the model meet the constraints of the actual construc-tion .
