Abstract: Titanium nitride nanoparticles were prepared by DC arc plasma method in nitrogen and hydrogen atmospheres as positive catalysts for lithium-oxygen batteries. The microstructure was characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results showed that the nano-titanium nitride showed a cubic structure with a grain size of 30.00 ~ 60.00 nm and a good degree of crystallization. When the current density of titanium nitride nanoparticles is 50 mA/g, the specific discharge capacity reaches 3037 mAh/g. When the constant volume is 500 mAh/g and the current density is 75 mA/g, the battery can be stably cycled, and the energy efficiency is maintained at about 62%. In addition, XRD and SEM results show that the main reaction of lithium-oxygen battery is the formation and decomposition of lithium peroxide.
