Abstract: Molybdenum disulfide nanoparticles (MoS2) with graphene-like lamellar structure were prepared by a two-step method, and their structural characterization by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed that the layer spacing of MoS2 nanoparticles produced by this method was much larger than that of the bulk MoS2 material (0.62 nm), reaching 0.70 nm. The Li-ion battery with MoS2 nanoparticles as the anode material exhibited excellent electrochemical performance, with the first discharge specific capacity reaching 1439 mAh/g at a current density of 100 mA/g and maintaining a reversible discharge specific capacity of about 860 mAh/g after 120 cycles.
