Abstract: This paper deals with the design of synthetic waveform generator using FPGA and a 14-bit D/A converter. The waves are generated by Numerically Controlled Oscillators (NCOs). Two waves are synthetic through adder logic. The produce and superposition of waves are realized inside FPGA. The external DAC generated the synthetic analog waveform in real word. The synthetic waveform with two frequencies components was generated and measured by SignalTap II logic, Matlab and Oscilloscope.
