Abstract: Two binary encoders, which are named Convolution Codes (CCs) over rings encoder and Recursive Systematic Convolution (RSC) over rings encoder, are proposed to substitute for the original component encoders of Serially Concatenated Convolution Codes (SCCCs) and the outer encoder of Serially Concatenated Continuous Phase Modulation (SCCPM). The proposed schemes are compared with the originals in the same conditions of AWGN channels and the results have shown that the proposed schemes have better decoding performances.
