Abstract:Based on Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), a modified weighted
   centroid localization algorithm is presented. Different from the
   formermethod, the sum of the reciprocal of eachmeasured distancewill be
   taken as the weight, instead of the reciprocal of sum. We also introduce
   amodified coefficien,t which reduces the phenomenon of information
   drown, and the precision of localization is improved. The simulation
   result shows that the modifiedweighted centroid localization algorithm
   can provide an extra maximum precision gain of 17·83 %, comparedwith the
   formermethod.
