摘要:Anisotropy can be found during single crystal growth and its real applications. In this paper, we proposed the model to calculate and predict physiochemical properties on the basis of crystal compositions, which can be applied to the crystal growth and mechanical performances of inorganic materials. The chemical bonding theory of single crystal growth indicates that the anisotropic growth shape can be ascribed to the surface bonding structures along different crystallographic directions. The electronegativity model of materials hardness indicates that the hardness anisotropy is dominated by the electronegativity and bonding modes of their constituent atoms.
