Abstract: Landslide surge could cause severe damage to dams,and the risk grows
   higher when the landslide surge happened during the earthquake. In this
   paper,the reasonable surge pressure model is chosen though analyses.
   With the example of the Koyna concrete gravity dam,the damage caused by
   both earthquake and landslide surge was discussed. Numerical results
   show that,at the same landslide surge height,the landslide surge
   overlapped with earthquake at different moments cause different damage
   to dam. The damage at upstream face caused by both landslide surge and
   earthquake is much larger than that caused only by earthquake.
