Approach for calculating the stress response of transversely isotropic stratified soil

摘要:This paper presents a solution for the stress response of transversely isotropic stratified soil. Firstly, the wave propagation in transversely isotropic stratified soil is solved in the frequency wavenumber domain by the precise integration method. Then through the inverse Fourier transformation, the response for an arbitrary surface or buried source in stratified soil can be obtained. The comparison with an existing solution validate the accuracy of the proposed method. The influence of soil properties and depth of buried source on the stress response is further investigated through a parametric analysis. © 2017 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
