Abstract:The stay-cable is the important component of the cable-stayed bridge. Its cable force is an important indicator for assessing the overall performance of the bridge. Wireless sensor system of detecting bridge cable force based on ZIGBEE technology was developed in this paper, which describes the principle for cable force detection using vibration method and the overall structure of the system. Then the experiments about cable-stayed bridge model and real bridge were carried out. Experiments show that the wireless sensor system can accurately measure the cable force, so it can provide a quick and reliable solution for the cable force detection and has a good application prospects.
