Abstract:The bonding between magnesium alloy and polypropylene was successfully realised by laser welding. The existence of ester carbonyl group in the joint of magnesium to polypropylene confirmed the formation of metal complex. The forces of chemical bond which existed in the metal complex ensured the joining stable between magnesium and polypropylene.
