Abstract:Cu-24Pb-2Sn/C10 composite materials were prepared by solid-liquid continuous casting compositing technology. The increasing casting temperature was found to lead to the formation of Cu-24Pb-2Sn (wt%) alloys with second-phase particles in different shapes ranging from coarsely reticulate to continuously reticulate to independently clavate to coarsely clavate shape. Simultaneously, the diffusion layer of element Cu and Fe around the interfaces became thicker with increasing casting temperature. The effect of casting temperature on the microstructure evolution and compositing process were discussed by metallographic and thermodynamic analysis. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
