Abstract:Based on software system SiPESC.OPT which was developed for solution of design optimization problems and structural finite element analysis software, a study on the model updating method by transforming the problem of model updating into the problems of design optimization is conducted. Numerical examples including truss structure and Garteur plane prove that this way is workable. The whole updating process is realized with the employment of SiPESC.OPT and commercial finite element software. Such software integration not only meets the needs of users on multiple optimization algorithms and FE algorithms, but also improves computational efficiency and ensures numerical precision with high application value in practical projects. The example of Garteur model provides the detailed information, such as finite element modeling, updating parameter selection and value scope, sensitivity analysis, and achieves the revised results with high precision.
