摘要:Images quality can't be ignored when high-speed camera CCD (Charged Coupled Device) applied to diagnose the characteristics of vacuum switches arc, and it makes some characteristics of the arc indistinguishable. In order to get the plasmas parameters of the arc effectively, such as electron density, electron temperature and configure of vacuum switching arc etc, it is necessary to process the images with the aid of MATLAB. In this paper, vacuum switch arc images are median filtered to remove the influence of salt and pepper noises, then edge detected with canny algorithm, and at last gray enhanced by using MATLAB. From the results we can see that: 1.Edge detection is an effective method to detect the configure of vacuum switches arc;2.Median filtering has good effect in filtering the noise;3.Gray enhancement can help improving the quality of the images.
