Abstract:In the last few years, hiding information on grayscale images has been drawing more attention in many applications. In this paper we propose a novel hiding algorithm on grayscale images by using line segments. We generate an initial set of line segments and use Sobel operator, which is an edge detection method, to detect the complex area. We then embed more secret data into the line segments located in the complex area. On the other hand, we reduce the number of embedded data in the smooth area. The experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed scheme in terms of high capacity. The hiding capacity can be 2 bpp for all test images with imperceptible image distortion. ? 2015 ISSN.
