Rovibrational manipulation of molecular quantum state by a train of ultrashort pulses

摘要:The rovibrational population transfer between two electronic states of the LiH molecule driven by a train of ultrashort pulses is theoretically investigated by solving the time-dependent Schrodinger equation. Theoretical calculation shows that the manipulation of selective rovibrational quantum state is completely possible by utilizing a train of ultrashort pulses with lower peak intensity (10(8) - 10(10) W/cm(2)). The rovibrational population transfer from an initial state to a selective rovibrational state is also controllable by changing the relative phase between two adjacent pulses of a pulse train. Moreover, the effect of rotational temperature on the population transfer is discussed. (C) 2010 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.
