The flow in the steam ejector is very complex, because the energy transfer among different fluids occurs in the form of mixing process, impacting process and friction process, and some complex flow phenomena such as turbulent flow, suction flow are coupled with supersonic flow in the ejector. With the high compression in the supersonic steam flow, the fluid shows some special characteristics different from the subsonic steam flow, especially with the influence of the compression waves or expansion waves. In the paper, the numerical simulation of internal complex flow conditions in the ejector has been accomplished, and the characteristics of the shock wave around the supersonic nozzle has been described. The choking phenomenon in the discharging tube has been captured and the performance of the ejector affected by the shock wave has been analyzed.
