摘要:The problem of assessing the state of a structure following potential damage occurrence by exploiting vibration signal measurements produced by earthquake excitation is addressed. Following the Wenchuan earthquake of 12 May 2008, a residential building was selected to be instrumented with accelerometers by the Harbin Institute of Technology. It represents a rare case of an instrumented building that has been damaged, and thus can serve as a full-scale benchmark to evaluate and further develop structural damage detection and identification methods. More than 20 earthquakes were recorded after the building was instrumented. For assessing the structural damage, subspace-based identification and damage detection methods are used and the stochastic uncertainties are handled.
