摘要:Concrete seismic stress monitoring by using the piezo-based smart aggregate (SA) is an innovative method to estimate the damage level during the earthquake. The Young's modulus and dimension of the SA are similar to a real coarse aggregate. It can be assumed that the SA just substitutes a coarse aggregate and do not change the mechanical property of concrete. This paper aims to establish the relationship between SA readings and concrete stress through numerical silumation method. Fristly, meso-scale simulation for concrete was conducted by using software of RFPA to investigate the scattering degree of stresses on coarse aggregates. Then, the relationship between the stress on the SAs and the stress on concrete was also analyzied on a SA-embedded concrete model through uniform finite elemte analysis software of Abaqus. Finally, the numerical simulation results were compared with test results and it was found that both of them agree well with each other. This study indicates that the relationship between the SA readings and concrete stress can be reliably established through numerical simulation method. ? 2015, International Society for Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure, ISHMII.
