摘要:In order to promote the deepwater facilities development of Liwan 3-1 area located in South China Sea, this paper provides useful information to help recommend the most suitable deepwater platform type for the reliable exploitation of the Liwan 3-1 gas field. In this paper, the hydrodynamic performance of a typical Truss Spar installed in Gulf of Mexico in the water depth over 1500m and the one of a preliminary designed Semi-FPU for the unique Liwan 3-1 environment are compared in frequency domain analysis. The heave RAOs with and without viscous damping of the two platforms are presented and compared. Based on the environmental conditions of Liwan 3-1 area, the heave response spectrum of the two platforms in frequency domain is calculated and analyzed. Furthermore, the coupled motion of the Truss Spar is calculated in time-domain. The results of hydrodynamic and motion performance of the Spar platform under the environment of Liwan 3-1 are illustrated and compared with the motion performance of the same Spar in the GOM. The calculation results of this paper reveal that Spar platform in more suitable for the Liwan 3-1. gas field than preliminary designed Semi-FPU in terms of the heave motion performance. Besides, the hydrodynamic analysis of the Spar platform in this paper will, provide some contributions to the future deepwater facilities development of other oil and gas fields similar to Liwan 3-1. gas field in South China Sea.
