摘要:To simplify the magnetorheological (MR) damper system and enhance its reliability, one adaptive MR damper control system combined with piezoelectric component was put forward. According to piezoelectric effect, the piezoelectric device can convert structural vibration energy into electrical energy, which can power the MR damper. Intenser vibration produces more electrical energy, more electrical energy leads to larger damping force and the larger damping force means higher attenuation of structural vibration. Consequently, the new control system has a well self-adaption performance. In this paper, based on the N26 cable model from Shandong Binzhou Yellow River Bridge and one five-storey building model, the design approach and process of the adaptive system are explored and the responses of both models under different control methods are respectively simulated in MATALB.
