摘要:Establishing an accurate constitutive model is the prerequisite for the application of magnetorheological elastomers (MREs) in smart vibration control. In this paper, a pre-structured MRE was prepared with silicone rubber and carbonyl iron particles with 30% by volume fraction. Under various magnetic fields, the dependence of storage modulus and loss modulus of MRE on strain amplitude was measured, which indicated its dynamic mechanical properties are nonlinear functions of strain amplitude. Then its relaxation behavior under various magnetic fields and strain was tested. The MRE presents significant relaxation behavior, which strongly depends on strain and magnetic field. A five-parameter nonlinear model was then proposed to descript the relaxation behavior. The parameters under different condition were obtained based on the experimental data. The simulation results agree well with the experimental data. It indicated that an accurate nonlinear constitution model of MREs can be obtained on the basis of their relaxation behavior.
